THE WINNERS OF SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE!

WeeklyTIP

  • During last September, PEN.UP was full of blue color.

By drawing using blue color only, all of you could freely express your ideas and individuality.
The deep blue color makes it now cool then dreamy, and then mystical.

Probably the tool participants used most was "color picker."
The blue part only of Color Palette might have disappeared, I worried.

This challenge looks too simple but requires more imagination.
The rate of participation was record high in September.
Now, we are going to see the best 5 selected from the numerous participant works.

Look closely whether your own work is included in these selected ones.
And don't forget to send a congratulatory message to the selected friends. >_<

  • The first one is ‘#blue’ by @3ddydotcom

The criteria for selecting the best works for this challenge was filling over 90% of the area with blue and this work certainly complies with that.
A boat floating on a tranquil and quiet sea looks lonely.
But the boat has two friends on it and she carries them somewhere.

After a long night, the sun rising far away is heralding a new and hopeful day.

This is a great work with blue and yellow in harmony.
    Congratulations! @3ddydotcom

  • The next winner is ‘Egbert’ by @Como

    Como uses Galaxy Note 4.
In ArtRage you can change settings to create different backgrounds.
A blue dragon is created on a dedicated watercolor sheet.
The colors are naturally smudging and dropping, which looks as if they are created by hands.

It is another wonder that such a detailed rendering is possible by digital drawing.
The shining body of the dragon, its attractive eyes,
and the leaves placed on the head create such a mystical mood.
I really want to frame and hang it on a wall at home.

  • The third winner is this month's new member of HOF, @Duarte074

A little bird with sharp eyes on a skinny twig is created.
This picture has received a lot of "Likes."
If you are a participant in this challenge,
you were also attracted to this work anyway.

Not only picked for HOF, but also winning the challenge,
he is truly the artist of the month in PEN.UP.
Duarte074 introduced lots of Blue works for this challenge, and each one is popular.
At his gallery, you can see his mysterious Blue works as much as you want.

  • Congratulations! @Duarte074

Now, let's meet the next winner.

  • The artist who is excellent in flamboyant colors
and mysterious and dreamy backgrounds is @ucru .

The blue background turns gradually darker toward the bottom maybe by gradation effect, which adds more depth to the work.

This work makes us think as if we are standing on a hill deep in a forest at dawn looking at the scenery.
If you want a wonderful and attractive background image for your cell phone,
how about taking one of the works by @ucru.

His works make the viewers really want to see the real scenes in them.
I hope ucru will continue to create more wonderful works. >_<

  • Here is the last winner for today.
This is the Blue work by @Yoom .

    She is a Korean!
She is excellent in creating ladies wearing hanbok, the traditional clothing.
While sticking to her special drawing skills,
she is trying to introduce the traditional culture of Korea, which is really appreciated.
    Besides hanbok,
she is drawing wedding dresses, party dresses, ballet dresses, miniskirts,
and many other female clothing and hair styles.
It's quite pleasing to view his works.
The winning works represent ladies wearing blue hanbok, which is very feminine and graceful.
This hanbok is perfect for summer.
If possible, I really want to try it on. ^^
    Congratulations! >_<
