[NOTICE] PENUP UPDATE VER 3.9.19
Hello, PENPLEs!
The Android version of the PENUP app has been updated to 3.9.19.
With the update, various changes have been made to the brush tool.
Today, we'd like to introduce the changes in PENUP version 3.9.19.
First, brush effects have been applied to the Smudge brush and the Eraser.
You can now apply various brush patterns and shapes to the Smudge brush and Eraser.
Select the Smudge brush and tap it again.
You can choose the same shapes as other brushes, and the Smudge brush will work accordingly.
The Eraser works the same way as the Smudge brush.
You can also use downloaded brushes for the shapes of the Smudge brush and the Eraser.
Select your desired shape and add various effects to your artwork!
Some of you may have liked using the Smudge brush and the Eraser in previous versions.
The Smudge brush is under the Watercolor brushes as 'Default smudge'.
And the Eraser is under the Markers as 'Default eraser.'
They are registered in your favorites, making them easy to find.
Second, the drawing tools have been updated.
To make the features easier to use, there have been many changes to the drawing tools.
The positions of the existing tools have changed a lot, so here’s an explanation.
2-1 The brush category has moved to the bottom.
The brush category image, which previously took up most of the top, has been changed to an icon.
Along with this, its position has also shifted from the top to the bottom.
Tapping the brush icon at the bottom will open the brush selection window.
The categories are the same as before.
You can also change the 'Brush settings' by tapping the brush you want to modify.
In addition, a 'Favorites' category has been added to help you easily find your desired brushes.
'Favorites' can be registered in the brush settings.
To register a favorite, tap the desired brush again to enter 'Brush settings.'
Then, tap the star-shaped favorite icon at the top right.
When the empty star turns yellow, the registration is complete.
The registered brush can be easily found in the 'Favorites' category.
Along with this, the brush download feature has also moved.
To make the feature easier to find, it has been moved to the 'More options' window at the top of the drawing tools.
Tap 'More options' at the top to quickly find 'Download more brushes.'
Download your desired brush and add it to Favorites to use!
2-2 The tool layout in the top bar has been changed.
With the changes to the brush tool, the tools in the top bar have also been rearranged.
The 'Undo' and 'Redo' buttons, previously located at the bottom, have been moved to the top.
Along with this, the 'Layer' and ‘More options’ buttons have also been moved to the top.
Additionally, a 'Clipboard' button has been added to copy and paste images.
And the 'Hide tools' button has been moved to the top.
Now, try using various features through the top bar.
2-3 The color selection window has been moved to the brush size adjustment window.
The color selection window, previously at the top, has been moved to the 'Brush Size Adjustment' window in the middle of the drawing tools.
As before, you can tap the palette to select a color.
You can also tap 'Current color' to open the 'Select color’ window and choose a new palette or different colors.
Additionally, the 'Eyedropper Tool' has been added between 'Current color' and ‘Show color sets.'
Use the Eyedropper to pick a color and apply it to your artwork!
Third, new brushes have been added.
With this update, 15 new brushes have been added, including Calligraphy brushes for enjoying various lettering styles.
New brushes have been added to the Calligraphy tools, Markers, and Watercolor brushes categories.
In addition, new brushes can also be downloaded for Patterns, Pencils, Airbrushes, and Crayons.
The newly added brushes will be announced through a separate notice.
Brushes can be downloaded through ‘Download more brushes' in the 'More options' menu at the top.
The PENUP team is working hard to offer high-quality brushes that provide an easier and more enjoyable painting experience.
We plan to add new brushes in the future, so please stay tuned for more updates.
Other convenience features and UX improvements have been made.
