When Christmas comes, Santa Claus hops onto his sleigh, loaded with gifts.
The reindeer pulling the sleigh take off with a burst of power, beginning their flight to deliver presents to children.
Among the reindeer, Rudolph with his shiny red nose acts as a beacon, lights up the dark night to make sure Santa doesn't lose his way.
The theme for our final challenge of 2024 is ‘Rudolph’, the reindeer that pulls Santa's sleigh.
Rudolph was created in 1939.
The story began when a father turned a tale he used to tell his child, who was sad about his ill mother, into a children's book.
The story quickly became popular, and the character of Rudolph, the reindeer who pulls Santa's sleigh, became so famous it even inspired a song that reached number one on the Billboard charts.
Originally, there were eight reindeer that traditionally appeared in stories, but with Rudolph's introduction, the number increased to nine.
Rudolph and the other reindeer have various abilities.
Rudolph and the reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh are magical creatures that can fly and run at incredibly high speeds.
They can also change the weather and communicate with the stars to guide Santa's sleigh on its journey, and each reindeer plays its own role in helping Santa on his adventure.
Imagining the special abilities of Rudolph and the other reindeer could be a fun thing to do.
Rudolph is not just a Christmas icon, he's a symbol and a lesson.
His glowing red nose lighting up the Christmas night teaches us that a weakness can indeed become a strength.
Even though Rudolph was shunned by the other reindeer, he saved everyone and became a beloved figure, which makes Rudolph’s story the perfect symbol of love and sharing in on Christmas.
