Often called the “Da Vinci of Northern Europe,”

Albrecht Durer had a knack for looking carefully at natural objects and turning them into hyper-realistic works of art.

The sharp outlines and compositions in his work capture the light and shadows with great precision, and even today, Durer’s paintings emanate a rich texture that captures the vitality of the subject.

Our Hall of Famer this November, @A.A.M.M, is also very adept at expressing the delicate beauty of nature.

Like Dürer, beautiful scenes from nature are painted with intricate lines that highlight distinct features, using color to translate light and shadow, capturing the vividness of nature.

Personal inspiration is added to coloring pages, creating beautiful works of art with unique expressions and colors.

We have to ask the artist how they came to draw these works.

So, let's start the interview with the artist.

Hello, @A.A.M.M!

On behalf of everyone at the PENUP team, We’d like to congratulate you on being inducted into our Hall of Fame in November 2024.

Please briefly introduce yourself and tell us your thoughts on selection.

A1. @A.A.M.M

Greetings PENUP!

Thank you for taking the time to interview me.

I am truly honored to be recognized as a Hall of Famer.

My username is derived from the names of my children.

I am a Syrian woman currently residing in Germany.

I hold a college degree in agricultural engineering and am currently a stay-at-home mother while my husband works.

Being inducted into the Hall of Fame is a remarkable achievement and I am grateful for this recognition.

Q2. @PENUP

You first post dates back to April 2023.

How did you find out about PENUP, and what inspired you to share your work on PENUP?

A2. @A.A.M.M

Upon acquiring my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, I endeavored to explore the capabilities of the accompanying stylus.

Consequently, I launched the PENUP application and commenced drawing.

The impressive artwork shared by other users served as a catalyst for my decision to contribute my own creations.

Q3. @PENUP

Your paintings have beautiful colors and artistic expressions.

What kind of devices and apps do you use when you’re drawing and painting?

A3. @A.A.M.M

In terms of my preferred devices for digital art creation, I exclusively utilize the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone.

While I did previously purchase the S9 Ultra Tablet, its usage for my artistic endeavors has been minimal, as I find the smartphone to be a more suitable tool for my creative process.

Regarding software applications, I solely rely on PENUP for all my digital art needs.

Q4. @PENUP

You seem to enjoy painting various animals and plants that look like you may have actually seen them in real life.

What inspired you to draw and paint in the beginning?

A4. @A.A.M.M

Since childhood, I’ve always loved drawing.

My school notebooks were often filled with sketches, mostly of anime girls.

It wasn’t until I started drawing digitally that I began experimenting with realism.

Q5. @PENUP

You also have several paintings depicting other scenes from nature, such as flowers and fruits.

What’s the inspiration behind those particular paintings?

A5. @A.A.M.M

I have a strong affinity for nature, particularly the rain.

I am passionate about animals and they are a recurring theme in my artwork.

Q7. @PENUP

Among different animals, cats appear to be one of your favorites.

What prompted you to start drawing cats?

What would you say makes cats a great subject for your art?

A7. @A.A.M.M

I am a cat enthusiast and currently have a feline companion named Lia.

Q8. @PENUP

Your work also features people and characters in all sorts of different shapes and sizes.

Is there a reason you like to paint people, and what kind of people do you like to paint?

A8. @A.A.M.M

I enjoy showcasing the subtle qualities that make individuals beautiful through my artwork.

I am not partial to any specific type of subject and constantly strive to enhance my perception and drawing skills.

Q9. @PENUP

We see some colorings you’ve done that really show your unique world of art and beauty.

What type of coloring designs do you like to choose when you want to do some coloring?

And if there’s a subject you’d like to work with in the future, what would you like to paint?

A9. @A.A.M.M

I enjoy coloring designs filled with nature and people, but I prefer fewer lines in the artwork.

For example, when coloring a dog, there’s no need for detailed lines in the fur—this way, the artist can add their own texture freely.

Q10. @PENUP

Last question.

Please let us know if there is anything you would like to see improved while using PENUP, or if there is anything you would like to say.

A10. @A.A.M.M

The application currently offers a wide range of brushes and pens, which are popular among numerous artists.

However, there is a need for enhanced protection against AI-generated content.

Some individuals who identify as AI “artists” are uploading images without authorization.

In addition, I would like to request that PENUP add the old brushes that were available before the update. PENUP is a lifestyle for many.

I would like to express my gratitude to all of my friends who have supported me throughout my journey.

Additionally, I would like to thank PENUP for providing me with this opportunity.

What did you think of our interview with @A.A.M.M?

Albrecht Durer once said that “Art is omnipresent in nature, and the true artist is he who can bring it out.”

The artist also has a keen eye for nature, bringing out its beauty through imagination and artistic expression.

Why not try capturing the diverse beauty of nature in your own artwork?

You’ll have fun painting various subjects such as landscapes, and also the animals and plants that live and breathe in them, in your art.

We’ll look forward to seeing the beauty of nature on PENUP captured in different ways by our users.

Thank you.
