Tigers are carnivores of the cat family.
They have piercing eyes and a brown coat with black stripes.
Although all tigers look mostly the same, their body size varies greatly depending on where they live.
Siberian tigers can grow up to 3.5 meters in length, while Balinese tigers grow to just 1.1 meters in length.
Some tigers come in unique colors, such as the goldie tiger with a golden coat, the white tiger with a white coat, and the blue tiger with a bluish coat.
Our second challenge in September is about ‘Tiger', the king of the mountain.
Tigers are amazing creatures with distinct characteristics.
They have a wide field of vision and eyes that see well at night, like most cats, and their stripes help them blend into the surrounding landscape.
They also have powerful canine teeth and front paws, and they are incredibly flexible and agile.
And although they are technically cats, they’re not afraid of the water and enjoy playing in the water to cool themselves down.
Tigers are often used as symbols as well.
In Asia, tigers were on an equal footing with the dragon as a sacred animal, and they were an object of reverence and a symbol of bravery, to the point where they’re called the King of the mountain.
In the West, tigers were used by kings and generals as a symbol of battle and victory.
Tigers were depicted in Christian art as a symbol of power and authority as well.
For the challenge, it could be a great idea to paint a tiger that’s a symbol for something.
Tigers also appear in various stories.
Surprisingly, they are good at climbing trees despite being massive beasts.
In fairy tales and stories, however, most tigers have a hard time climbing trees.
Tigers are a sacred, revered animal that is often associated with gods.
But on the other hand, they can also be a symbol of hardship, a test, danger, fear, and conflict.
What comes to your mind when you think of a tiger?
Take on the challenge of painting a picture of a tiger, ranging from tigers living in various environments to tigers from legends, stories, or your imagination.
This will be proceeded for 15 days.

The challenge is running based on GMT.
