For our first challenge in August, we asked you to create something about ‘Watermelon’, a fruit that makes us all happy with its juicy and delicious red flesh.
First, we will introduce the winners of this challenge through a video.

As always, you all sent in a bunch of different drawings featuring watermelons.
We saw some normal-looking watermelons and watermelons served as dessert, and we had a fantastic time imagining how refreshing a bite of watermelon would feel after a long, hot, and exhausting day.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the challenge with great artwork.
Then, shall we meet the winners of the challenge?
In our first picture, we have a woman sitting on a chair casting a sharp gaze over the bookshelf.
If you follow her eyes, you’ll see a brown cat looking down at her.
Given the watermelon on her plate and on the table, it seems like she’s warning the cat not to steal her watermelon.
Beautiful work, @Vorobushek.
Next, we have a green ship flying in the sky lit brightly by a full moon.
The boat is made of cut watermelon and bits of rind put up with toothpicks to use as sails.
And the deck is loaded with a mixed salad of vegetables and fruits.
It's probably a ship someone built in their dreams, after eating some watermelon on a hot summer evening.
Thank you, @A123 for uploading your work.
Here, we have some birds flying over a cut watermelon on the table.
One of them is pecking at the watermelon with its beak.
It must’ve liked the sweet flesh.
A couple of other birds are outside the window, seemingly eying something else.
They could be lookouts just in case someone comes for the watermelon.
Great job, @vlad.
Over here, the glass sitting next to the watermelon slices has watermelon juice in it.
The ripe watermelon with black seeds looks delicious, but the watermelon juice just looks so much more hydrating and cool it makes your mouth water.
If juice and watermelon were in front, it would be hard to decide which to eat first.
Lovely work by @i.mary.
Moving on, we see some giant watermelons floating into the sky along with vortexes rising up from the ocean.
There’s also an astronaut floating up and reaching out to grab one of the watermelons.
Perhaps he came to this planet to realize his lifelong dream of eating a massive watermelon.
That one’s from @HTH. Well done!
Now, this red-haired girl is eating a large watermelon.
She’s all decked out from head to toe with a watermelon-themed headband, clothes, and shoes.
No doubt she really loves watermelon.
And you can bet all of the watermelon in front of her won’t be there for long.
Thank you, @Marshy.
There’s a person running on a slice of watermelon and he’s holding a shiny fork.
It looks like he’s jumping off the piece of watermelon that’s lurching violently forward, by a wave rushing toward a large watermelon.
The title, along with the dynamic-looking protagonist, suggests that there might be an entertaining story about a battle to claim the delicious watermelon.
Well done, @Anam!
Next to that one, we have a girl dressed in a unique outfit winking at us.
From the color of her hair to red shirt and white and green skirt, she’s dressed up to look and feel like a refreshing watermelon.
And judging by the bright smile on her face, she seems very satisfied with the results.
This one’s from @Louna_Chan. Great work!
Moving on, we have watermelons cut into various shapes and ready for a picnic out in the front yard of a little cabin.
There’s no one around, so the owners may be taking a walk or exercising nearby.
If and when they come back after working up a sweat, the delicious watermelon will make sure the picnic is a happy one for everyone.
Wonderful job, @CM33.
And in our final picture, we have two people sitting on a porch and eating watermelon.
They seem to be taking a break from the hot sun while enjoying the view of the yard.
They’ve even turned the fan off.
That’s how cool and sweet the watermelon is - it’s made them forget about the sweltering heat for a while.
Thank you, @Amritaswifty for your work!
These are the 10 winners.
Congratulations!
Please send your encouragement and congrats to these 10 people in the comments.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this challenge.
The 2nd challenge of August, ‘Let’s draw THE PARALYMPIC GAMES’ is on going.
We hope for your participation.
Thank you.
