For our second challenge in June, we asked you to draw, paint, and create something about ‘Monkey’, which as we said were often called the gardeners of the forest.
First, we will introduce the winners of this challenge through a video.

We were able to see works featuring monkeys through this challenge.
We could see real monkeys in various environments, and through works featuring monkeys with unique characteristics or those from stories, we had a delightful time imagining different scenes.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the challenge with great artwork.
Then, shall we meet the winners of the challenge?
Our first monkey is wearing a crown and a dress.
Given all the jewelry and fancy dress, it’s clear that this is one very special monkey.
Maybe this gorgeous-looking monkey might be a queen ruling over a horde of other monkeys.
Fantastic work by @Elena.
Next to the monkey queen, we have what looks like a camera shot of a monkey.
We can see the Earth behind the monkey wearing an astronaut suit, so this picture must be taken from the surface of the moon.
The triumphant expression with its chin raised up in the air really tells us how the monkey must be feeling after making it to the moon.
That’s from @xabat!
Moving on, we have a gorilla and a monkey in a fierce battle.
The monkey wrapped in clouds is holding a baton in its hand and it's fending off the gorilla with a ferocious expression and also the falling rocks.
How do you think this battle between these two primates with special powers will end?
Great job, @gus.
Here, we have a monkey climbing a tree.
The baby monkey clinging to its back seems to be lifting its body and is fixated on its extraordinary surroundings.
Then, another monkey on the tree is holding out its hand to hoist them up.
This beautiful place could be a mysterious monkey village in the jungle.
This one was sent in by @sarpal.
Next, there’s a fluffy-looking baby monkey holding its finger in its mouth.
If you look into those brightly shining eyes, it feels like it wants something.
Perhaps this little baby monkey is hungry and is desperately looking at its mother.
Awesome job, @Andreia.
In our next painting, we have a monkey hanging upside down by its tail and facing another monkey below.
Given the way the monkey at the bottom looks like the exact mirror image of the monkey on top, it must be a reflection in the water.
All the different filling up the space around the monkey could be a symbol of all the amazing and fantastic emotions the monkey is feeling after seeing its own reflection in the water.
Great work by @yegonizer.
Fireflies are flying over the head of the monkey, which appears to be praying with an earnest expression on its face.
There’s a bunch of ripe bananas hanging on a brightly lit tree branch.
It seems that the monkey’s desperate wishes have been met with a miracle.
It’s finally found some food to fill its empty belly.
That’s the work of @Spaghetti.
This monkey is looking at some goldfish with a focused look on its face.
See the fishing line in its mouth? It looks like it really wants to the goldfish right in front of its eyes.
But how is he going to catch the fish flying in the air? He might need to use some magic.
Thank you, @nuni!
In our penultimate painting, there’s a monkey getting out of the rain using a leaf as an umbrella.
As if waiting for something, the monkey is staring endlessly into the pouring rain.
Just as calm comes after a storm, it seems like the monkey is waiting for the sun to peep its head hrough after the rain.
Thanks, @francisco for sending that one in.
And finally, we have a child sitting on a tall branch with some birds.
He’s wearing a monkey mask and tail, which means this little boy is trying to be a monkey himself.
There’s also a bag of fruit hanging on a nearby branch, so the boy might have decided to become a monkey to climb up the tree and get his fruit.
Wonderful piece by @ujin.
These are the 10 winners.
Congratulations!
Please send your encouragement and congrats to these 10 people in the comments.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this challenge.
The 1st challenge of July, ‘Let’s draw Island' is on going.
We hope for your participation.
Thank you.
