[Notice] PENUP French children's criteria age raise guide
Hello, PENPLES.
PENUP is a social media service
for sharing artwork, and we offer
“Kid’s Mode” to protect children.
When you log in using Kid’s Mode
supported via your Samsung account,
you’ll see a limited version
of the app without any of
the social media-related features.
It allows you access
PENUP’s drawing features,
such as drawing and coloring, only.
We understand the definition of
“children” and “kids” varies from
country to country.
The Agence nationale des fréquences
(ANFR), a French agency,
recently raised the age for
children's accounts from 15 to 18
in order to strengthen their
protection for children with access
to internet-enabled devices.
As such, accounts held
by French users under the age of 18
will now be considered “child”
accounts, and their access will be
limited to basic drawing functions,
This, of course, means no access to
any of PENUP’s social functions.
As of 2024, Kids Mode will apply to
users born in 2007.
But when these users turn 18,
Kids Mode will be deactivated.
Please note that this policy
will take effect starting on
July 13, 2024.
