[Review] Challenge of April (1)

We asked all of you to draw
something about a ‘Soap,’
for our first challenge in April.

First, we will introduce the winners
of this challenge through a video.

* If you can’t see the video,
please check the link below.

Go to the epilogue of
the 1st challenge of April

As always,
we were inundated with paintings
and pictures featuring soap
in one way or another.

We saw how people used to use soap
in ancient times, and also how
people use soap today.

Some of you went creative and
showed us soaps that come in
different shapes, and how soaps make
bubbles.

We had such a great time
going through your pictures
and paintings inspired by soap.

Thank you to everyone
who participated in the challenge
with great artwork.

Then, shall we meet the winners
of the challenge?

20sec to wash hands / @gus
lady by the river / @malex

First up, we have soap
fighting evil germs.
Fortunately, the soap seems to be
overwhelming the germs.
You can even see one germ
face-planting onto the ground.
In the sky, there seem to be flying
carriers of soap, so it looks like
the soap army is ready to
exterminate every last germ.
This artwork is by @gus.

A woman is sitting by the river
and doing laundry.
And just look at the lather
she’s got going.
It appears the soap is doing
its job, turning dirty clothes into
nice and clean clothes.
On the line, she’s already hung
the clothes she’s washed.
They’re all fluttering in the wind.
The way the soap cleans laundry
almost feels as great as the skies
clearing up after rain or your heart
just brightening up
after a tough day.
This artwork is by @malex.

Bath time / @Animometrajes
How the Great Journey of Soap began
/ @Shafin

We have a puppy swimming
in a bathtub full of bubbles.
It looks like the little boy is
giving his dog a bath.
Just look at the soap in his hand.
Well, both the dog and boy are
smiling ear-to-ear, so it must have
been a happy bath for everyone.
This artwork is by @Animometrajes.

But instead of a regular surfboard,
he’s riding a bar of massive soap.
He looks so excited to be gliding
over soap bubbles instead of waves,
Who knows? Maybe in ancient times,
our ancestors could have used
a massive bar of soap to surf.
That creative little piece
was from @Shafin.

Soap in a tray 1 / @megumi-yujii
Soappp / @Auzzie_kinz

On the tray, you can see flowers
of various colors and bottles
filled with liquid.
Perhaps someone is making soap,
and the square mold seems to contain
purple flowers and a white liquid.
We’re curious to know what a soap
with flowers would smell like.
This artwork is by @megumi-yujii.

Could that bar of soap have created
all of those bubbles?
The woman in the bathtub seems to be
enjoying her bath,
playing with all of the bubbles
she’s engulfed in.
Her happy face makes a bubble bath
such a great idea right now.
This artwork is by @Auzzie_kinz.

baño de cachorro / @francisco

The dog here appears to be
taking a bath in the garden.
Its whole body is lathered up,
as if it's been scrubbed with
a lot of soap.
But the dog looks more preoccupied
with the changing colors of bubbles
rather than taking a bath. Just look at the way
it’s sticking its tongue out
while chasing the soap bubbles.
This artwork is by @francisco.

°•○ BUBBLE DANCE ○•° / @Sisili_i

Bubbles rising from the square bar
of soap.
In front of the soap,
you can see little fairies dancing
with the bubbles.
The bubbles have also imparted
their beautiful colors
onto their surroundings.
Even the fairies seem excited by
the beautiful scene created
by the soap and bubbles.
This artwork is by @Sisili_i.

LGirl - soap maker / @IceLady

There is a woman wearing an apron
packaging soap with a rather
serious look on her face.
Judging by all the tools
and materials on the table,
it looks like she makes
and sells handmade soap.
We’d love to find out how they smell
and how thick of a lather
they would create.

Doggy Day Care / @Aileen_and_Art

And finally, we have dogs
taking a bath in the bathtub.
The bathtub full of bubbles,
the happy faces... They all look
so excited about taking a bath
with soap.
Well except for the one dog
hiding under the bathtub,
covered in bubbles. He looks angry.
Maybe he really didn't want to
take a bath.
This artwork is by @Aileen_and_Art.

These are the 10 winners.
Congratulations!
