Greetings. PENPLE’s!
Previously, we told you that
the Android version of PENUP app has
now been updated to version 3.9.15.
Today, we’re going to talk about
some of the new brushes we've added
- 18 new brushes in total -
with our latest update.
First, Watercolor brush
Watercolor has three new brushes,

including a Round brush
and Water blending brush 1 and 2.
Of these, the one that lets you
change the thickness depending on
how much pressure you apply to
your stylus is the round brush.
With the new Water blending brush
1 and 2, you can mix painted colors
to effectively blend them together
like a watercolor.

Water blending brush 1 creates
an effect where you've blended colors
using a brush dabbed slightly
in water.

Meanwhile, Water blending brush 2
feels like blending colors with
a little more water,
really getting you that
watercolor-like presentation.
However, these two brushes help
create a blending effect only.
They don’t change the colors
you’ve selected, and you can’t use
either to add a new color.
Second, Oil paint brush
We’ve added Smooth round tip brush
to our collection of Oil paint.

This brush is designed to reduce
the blending effect, but it lets you
change the opacity by varying
the pressure applied to the stylus,
which is why it can be really useful
for a variety of coloring purposes.
It could be a great idea to apply
different transparency levels and
use them to create interesting
illustrations.
Third, Pencil brush
We’ve added a number of
different brushes to the Pencil
that could prove useful when drawing
thinner lines and creating
whole new expressions.

The H, 4B, and 8B mechanical pencil
brushes are designed to help you
produce a variety of sketches
with thin lines.

You can change the size
of each brush to make it thinner or
thicker by adjusting the maximum and
minimum size in the brush settings.

Additionally,
you’ll see colored pencils 1 and 2
and the Thick flat tip pencil
added to the list.
In the case of colored pencils,
one is thin while the other is
thick, and in the
Thick flat tip pencil is perfect
for drawing, which you might have
fun using in different styles.
Fourth, Crayon and Pen brush
Crayon gets a new Wax pastel,
whereas the Pen gets a new Gel pen.

As for the Wax pastel,
it produces less texture and focuses
on producing lines that look more
solid instead.
And then, the Gel pen adds texture
that looks and feels like drawing with
ink gel.
Last but not least, Pattern brush
In the Pattern brush,
you’ll find a new brush that
can create a variety of textures
and expressions that are
different from the existing stamp
effect brush.

The Dotted line lets you draw
evenly spaced dotted lines,
and the Halftone helps you create
a cartoon-like effect.

Smoke 1 and 2 brushes create
a smoky feel and the opacity is
adjustable depending on how much
pressure you apply with your stylus.
Stipple 1 paints dots over
a wider line in the color
you’ve chosen, whereas Stipple 2
adds other colors to the one
you’ve selected, so check them out
and see what you can paint
with the new stippling brushes.
PENUP is always open to feedback
from our users, and we promise to
add brushes that help you create
beautiful works of art.
Please make sure to take
a closer look at our new brushes,
and please look out for
additional brushes coming to PENUP
down the road.
Thank you.
