Every school has a unique view
to offer.
Some schools are in the mountains
or on a beach, while others rest in
a wide-open field; and, of course,
there are those located right in
the heart of the city, surrounded by
various buildings.
Schools can have a renowned building
or structure on their premises with
a long and illustrious history, and
they can have newly built
state-of-the-art facilities, or
eco-friendly designs that are
great for the environment.
You may have seen dormitories
on your way to and from school.
You may have seen different
students coming in and out of
those dormitories.
Why are we talking about schools?
That’s because our first challenge
in March is about 'School'
that serve as the cradle of
learning and growing.

The first school in human history
was created in ancient Greece.
Apparently, it was a gym where
young men would train their bodies.
Later, during the Middle Ages,
universities were created based on
religious teachings, then during
the Renaissance period, schools
started to focus more on science
and humanities, which helped create
a wider spectrum of disciplines and
studies.
In the 19th century, governments
started offering public education,
and as the education system grew
more sophisticated in modern times,
schools went from something
exclusively available to the upper
class to educational institutions
available for everyone.

Schools have various spaces
inside them.
They have classrooms for classes and
playgrounds for physical activities.
They have cafeterias or canteens
where students can eat and talk.
Some have music rooms full of
instruments, art rooms where you can
draw with various art tools, or
science labs where students can
conduct various experiments.
These spaces offer the right
environment for each class.
So, what you could do this month is
to draw a place at school that used
to make you happy or a place
where you had lots of fun.

Schools of the future might change
in different ways.
They’re expected to evolve into
educational institutions in
a broader sense where anyone can get
the education they want for
the entirety of their lives.
Also, new digital technologies
such as virtual reality, augmented
reality, and artificial intelligence
will likely infiltrate our lives to
develop into free-form schools that
are not tied to physical buildings
or venues.
What comes to your mind
when you think about schools?
Take on this month’s challenge
by drawing schools you attended
in the past, the memories you have
from school, or schools
from our future.
This will be proceeded for 15 days.
from March. 1, Fri (GMT)
to March. 15, Fri (GMT).
The challenge is running based
on GMT.
Therefore, the start and end times
differ depending on time zone
of each country, so please refer to
GMT time when uploading your work.
We look forward to your
participation and amazing works!
Thank you.
