Our day starts with this.
Anyone gets an easy access to this, and they habitually look at this.
The challenge this time is themed on “Mirror”.
room / @aditzokazy
Ornamental / @Dhaworld
There are many stories in regards to mirror.
The queen in Snow White always asks,
“Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the prettiest of all?”
Also, the beautiful boy named “Narcissus” in Greek Mythology was said to had turned into a flower after looking at himself on the reflection of the pond in inspiration.
Mirror is also the main object in the horror movies that are so popular in the theater during summer.
The un-living objects reflected on the mirror would maximize the sense of horror.
Mirrors.... / @Anna-armin
the mirror never lies / @zivzif
The mirror is also implied as a symbol, serving more than just a reflection.
Such reflection is well represented in the history of art.
In The Arnolfini Portrait - Jan van Eyck,
the mirror reflects a space in the room that is hidden in the drawing.
This implies that the visible world or invisible world could be different
in accordance with the people’s will or perception.
Spiegelung / @UliUlrikeG.
Beauty in the mirror / @thegooch
Mirror also serves multiple purposes like a side mirror that minimizes the risk of accidents by showing the blind spots and like dental mirror used at the dentist.
We wonder what type of mirror you see.
This challenge will continue on for 16 days from Thursday, August 16 to Friday, August 31.
We look forward to your participation and good work.
