The winners of May challenge!

The winners of May challenge!

The Sci-Fi field is so comprehensive that it can’t be defined.
But, it’s been said an artist said: “You don’t know what it is, but you will get to know once you see it.”

When we looked at all the art pieces of the PEN.Ple, I instantly understood what the artist meant and thought to myself that it was an awesome definition.

With your rich art works, PEN.UP in May has become an awesome place.
Thank you so much for giving so many different imaginations on this Sci-Fi topic.

As said in the previous notice, we will present the winners of May the goods produced from their own art works.

Now, let’s move on to the world of Sci-Fi while reviewing the five winners of May.

War of the worlds…… / @Nitin.Kurvey

Movies always have deep relations with Sci-Fi.
When I looked at @Nitin.Kurvey’s piece, I felt somewhat the uneasiness hidden behind the benefits of science.

Reading the title, I noticed that the piece is from a scene in the War of the Worlds by Steven Spielberg.
Unlike the dark colors of the movie, @Nitin.Kurvey presented the lighter colors.

However, the light colors gave more fear and uneasiness mood when compared to the darker colors.

Faerydae / @MBD..o_O..

I somehow thought about X-Men themed on mutants after looking at @MBD..o_O..’s piece: the hair that went up, the transparent wings and cyber-like skin.

It may be a part of the mutation in the body as a result of the science or a robot with an AI.

The bluish colors shaded over the picture kind of makes the mystic part more stand out in this creature.

Bot for the challenge / @Bpistudio

@Bpistudio’s robot: what is his name?
It may be a friendly robot – a baby bird is nestling on its shoulder.

The robot is an artificial creature made by humans.
But, thinking of the robot interacting with animals make me feel warm.

Alien Puppeteer / @Chuppylim

It is a picture of an alien that delivers @Chuppylim’s own delicateness and uniqueness.
It seems to be wearing a Chinese traditional costume and moving the marionette.

Marionette is a doll that gets into life and movies with the human control with the strings bound to its knuckles.

It seems like the alien is controlling the doll that looks like a human.

spaceships in India…… exploring temples / @bhargavi

This is a picture that genuinely delivers @bhargavi’s view towards the world.

Just by looking at the piece, it seems we are out in the space.
The geometrical patterns somehow present unknown mystic feelings.

Boldly enough, the character in the drawing is leisurely reading the books by staying outside the spaceship.

Perhaps, it maybe the artist himself.

Now, we have fine winners here. Congratulations!

The Challenge of May was indeed hot, which led to generation of interesting and unique pieces.

Like shown in various art pieces, we were able to imagine the world in many different ways.

It seems awesome to be inspired in others’ imagination.
Of course, the more fantastic part is that it is the drawing that takes us to their imagination.

It is saddening that we could not introduce all the PEN.Ples’ drawings.
We will present the goods to the five winners.

We look forward to your participation in the future.
Our gratitude goes out to everyone who has partaken in the challenge.
