The November's Challenge for making the 2016 PEN.UP calendar by using your works was a great success!!
Until the last day of November, lots of works had been uploaded, which made it really hard for us to select the best ones.
November's challenge was for making a calendar with birth flowers.
We put great attention to the design and utility of the calendar so that it could look great as well as be well worth preserving.
Many of you are certainly wondering what kind of calendar has come out.
Now here are those works selected for January to December.
The original ones and the ones in the calendar are now going to be presented.
The work for January is "carnation" by @sun.u
Carnation, January's birth flower, has been created with crimson color which well conveys its symbolic meanings of hope and passion.
February's selected work is “Iris violeta” by @Darte074.
Iris symbolizes "innocent love" with its violet color and elegant shape.
March has been taken by “Tulips -Avril-Perfect love honest eternal” by @Mariella.
The meaning of the flower is kindly added to the birth flower of March.
It is a bunch of plumpy tulips.
“Ordinary daisy (birth flower of April)” by @jinjie has been chosen for April.
Pure yellow color of daisy looks as if heralding a new season of spring.
It goes well with joy and innocence, the symbolic meanings of April's birth flower.
May's birth flower is “A golden-banded lily” by @Kdoll25.
Lily, clover, and hawthorn are May's birth flowers, the symbolic meanings of which are maturity, luck, the only love, tolerance, etc.
June's birth flower is rose, which this time has been created by @FirstNote4.
It is a bunch of roses with meanings of lovely and girlish love.
Isn't it beautiful?
July's page has been created by @Cookie. Congratulations!
The birth flower is titled “Larkspur July Birth Flower (Challenge)."
Their symbolic meanings are purity, worship, yearning, innocence, etc.
It looks like a pretty hairband made by hands.
For August, @Bozhidar created a work titled “Gladiolus / Poppy – August."
Gladiolus has been created with the meanings of youth and evanescence. Thank you.
September's birth flower is dahlia, which this time has been created by @N3P in a full-canvas size. Incredible as usual.
The symbolic meanings of the birth flower are reminiscence, trust, and love.
Even holding a stalk of the flower would make us think as if holding a bunch.
It looks like a pink candy.
October's page has been decorated by @trishashah. Marigold looks so fit for the symbolic meanings of sad love, grief, and pure love.
This would be perfect for October, the beginning of the autumn.
November's pick is the one by @Rachel. This is lupine having the symbolic meanings of integrity, sincerity, and maternal love caught in flower petals on thin stalks. Congratulations!
And this is the work for the last month of the year of 2016. Poinsettia, the birth flower instantly coming to mind with Christmas.
This was created by @TanzyMary.
This is the birth flower we would like to put on the porch to celebrate the Christmas with its meaning of blessing. Congratulations!
So these are the 12 birth flowers selected.
Again, congratulate the selected ones for November's challenge.
