Japanese landscape painter Utagawa Hiroshige is known for delicately capturing the seasons and weather in his works.

By depicting landscapes shaped by various weather phenomena such as rain, snow, and mist, he visualized the atmosphere and emotions within those scenes.

In his works, the moods created by colors within the cycle of the seasons, along with his compositions, contain a sense of spatial depth that draws viewers into the landscape.

Similarly, @moonlight, who has been selected for the Hall of Fame in March, also portrays the changes of the seasons, inviting us into dreamy landscapes.

Artist @moonlight, who creates colorful landscapes, uploaded their first artwork to PENUP in August 2024.

After discovering PENUP by chance on a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, they explored the app out of curiosity and began adding colors to the daily coloring templates, inspired by the artworks shared by artists from around the world.

Currently, they use only PENUP to create and share their artwork, and say they enjoy drawing while being motivated by the many likes and feedback they receive.

Now, shall we hear from @moonlight about their works through this interview?

Q1. @PENUP

Hello, @moonlight.

This is the PENUP team.

On behalf of everyone at the PENUP team, we’d like to congratulate on you on being inducted into our Hall of Fame in March 2026.

Please briefly introduce yourself and tell us about your thoughts on selection.

A1. @moonlight

Hello!

My name is Fatima.

I'm currently doing my bachelor's degree in arts and I live in Pakistan.

Seeing the notification about being selected for the HOF really surprised me.

I never expected this recognition.

When I read that I had been selected for the Hall of Fame, I honestly couldn’t believe it.

I spent the whole day smiling and receiving congratulations and likes on my drawings.

Thank you so much.

Q2. @PENUP

We were able to see artworks filled with beautiful colors.

What made you start drawing?

A2. @moonlight

I have always had a deep love for art since childhood.

Over time, it became more than a hobby.

It became a passion.

PENUP gave me the perfect platform to bring my imagination to life and share it with such a wonderful and supportive community.

Q3. @PENUP

We were able to see landscapes filled with vibrant colors in your coloring sheets.

We’re curious about why you incorporate landscapes into your coloring works.

We’d also love to know what inspired you to start using coloring sheets in your artwork.

A3. @moonlight

Landscapes have always fascinated me because they carry so much beauty and emotion.

I love filling my art with rich and vibrant colors.

I started using coloring sheets because they gave me the freedom to focus on experimenting with colors, lighting, and textures.

Over time, coloring sheets became not just practice but a creative space where I could transform simple outlines into magical scenes.

Q4. @PENUP

We could also see weather elements in your works, such as rain and snow, as well as day and night.

We’re curious about why you choose to include weather phenomena in your artwork.

We’d also love to know which type of weather you like the most.

A4. @moonlight

Weather has always been a huge source of inspiration for me.

I feel that weather reflects emotions; rain can feel peaceful or nostalgic.

Personally, I love drawing night sky scenes, especially starry skies and moonlight.

There is something calm and dreamy about night that inspires me deeply.

Q5. @PENUP

We were also able to see works that seem to capture scenes from everyday life.

We’re curious about how you came to create pieces like these.

We’d also love to know if there are any subjects you’d like to challenge yourself with in the future.

A5. @moonlight

I love capturing everyday moments in my art because there is so much beauty in the simple things we often overlook.

I try to capture those feelings and turn them into colorful and dreamy scenes.

As for future challenges, I would love to explore more complex backgrounds and different styles and themes.

Please let us know if there is anything you would like to see improved while using PENUP, or if there is anything you would like to say.

A6. @moonlight

PENUP is already such an amazing platform, and I truly enjoy using it every day. 😊

Honestly, I still haven't discovered all the brush possibilities in the app and I would really like to master them.

I have also learned so much from incredibly talented artists on PENUP.

How did you enjoy the interview with @moonlight?

This is the artwork the artist said she wanted to share with all PENPLEs.

They selected this piece because it captures the quiet beauty of a simple moment.

Beneath blooming trees and drifting petals, the scene reflects peace, connection, and the gentle harmony between nature and human emotions.

In addition, the artist left the following message for all PENPLEs.

Honestly PENUP already provides such a supportive and creative environment.

I truly appreciate the effort behind it and look forward to seeing it grow even more in the future. 😊

I'm honoured to be part of this inspiring community.

Once again thank you for giving me this opportunity.

I want to send a heartfelt thank you to all my PENUP friends — your kindness and support mean so much to me.

By admiring your amazing drawings, I’ve learned and grown, and my own art has improved too. 🥰

This award means a lot to me.

Thank you all so much ❤️

Please continue to support @moonlight and their wonderful works.

Thank you.
