Thomas Cole, known as the father of American landscape painting, is said to have captured the romantic scenery of nature.

From steep mountain ranges to vast flowing rivers, as well as other natural phenomena, he expressed the grandeur and magnificence of the natural world.

The details and transformations in his paintings carried philosophical messages and symbolic meanings.

They also allowed viewers to feel not only the beauty of nature but a wide range of emotions.

In the same way, @Bozi, who has been selected for the Hall of Fame this September, conveys a wide spectrum of emotions through landscapes.

The artist @Bozi, who paints beautiful landscapes, first discovered PENUP while using a Galaxy Tab S6 LITE, and uploaded their first work to PENUP in January 2024.

At first, it was simply for fun, but after work in January 2024, they truly needed rest, and thanks to the first ‘like’ and the kind people of PENUP, they continued to draw and improve their skills.

Currently, they are using the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, enjoying PENUP and its brushes, and, being curious, also uses other apps to paint landscapes of nature.

Now, shall we hear from @Bozi about their works through this interview?

Hello, @Bozi.

This is the PENUP team.

On behalf of everyone at the PENUP team, we’d like to congratulate you on being inducted into our Hall of Fame in September 2025.

Please briefly introduce yourself and tell us about your thoughts on selection.

A1. @Bozi

First of all, I would like to sincerely thank your team.

It was such a lovely surprise for me!

I’m originally from Croatia, but I’ve been living in Italy for many years.

Q2. @PENUP

We have seen many works filled with beautiful colors.

What made you start drawing?

A2. @Bozi

I’ve always loved drawing, but I never had enough space or time.

I only did small paintings once in a while, until I discovered digital art.

Q3. @PENUP

We could find many landscapes depicting the various appearances of nature.

Why do you draw landscapes, and what kinds of sceneries do you choose to capture?

A3. @Bozi

Landscapes are so fascinating because they are always changing.

The clouds are never the same, and when I draw them, I just feel happy.

Being in nature makes me feel good, and I love observing everything.

Sometimes I take a photo to use as a reference, other times I just memorize what I see.

We were able to see a variety of animals.

What do you find appealing about these subjects?

A4. @Bozi

I grew up with animals around me, and they have given me so much love and affection.

At the same time, I’m deeply fascinated by the world of wild animals.

We also noticed still-life works such as flowers and food.

What is the charm of these subjects for you?

A5. @Bozi

Flowers are so beautiful to me.

As for food—especially desserts—I love making them, and that’s why I also enjoy drawing them.

Please let us know if there is anything you would like to see improved while using PENUP, or if there is anything you would like to say.

A6. @Bozi

The app PENUP is beautiful and fun to use, and the brushes work really well.

The only thing is the resolution – I hope it will be improved over time.
