[Challenge] 2025. September : Let's draw Balloon
PENUP Main banner

A balloon is a light object that inflates when filled with air.

Made from materials such as latex, foil, or vinyl, balloons come in a variety of colors to match the mood of any occasion.

They can take on simple round shapes, heart shapes for proposals, or even be made into stars, characters, animals, and numbers.

Balloons are used as decorations for parties, events, and anniversaries, for advertising when made into giant forms, and for art when long balloons are twisted into creative works.

For September’s second challenge, the theme is ‘Balloon’, an object that sparks the imagination.

Balloons have a long history.

In the past, they were crafted as ritual objects or toys.

The modern balloon was created in 1847 from rubber sheets, not as a toy but as a tool for experiments.

Later, with the advancement of rubber processing and mass production, balloons became widely used as children’s toys.

Balloon art is the activity of twisting and tying balloons to create works of art.

Artists usually use elastic latex balloons, shaping them through repeated twisting and bending.

They can be turned into small animals, bouquets, or hats, and even into life-sized characters and large installations.

It would be fun to draw your own imaginative creations with balloons.

Balloons are objects that inspire endless imagination.

There are even stories of people filling countless balloons with helium to soar to high altitudes in pursuit of the dream of flight.

In novels, movies, and animations, balloons often appear as a way to travel or to embark on adventures into new worlds.

So, what kind of balloon comes to mind for you right now?

From colorful shapes to event decorations and imaginative journeys, capture your vision of balloons in a drawing and join the challenge.
