Guaraná eyes

The legend of guaraná, from the Sateré-Mawé people, tells the story of a much-loved indigenous boy who was killed by Jurupari "snake" , the god of evil, out of envy. Tupã, the good god, instructed the boy's mother to plant his eyes. From these eyes grew the guaraná plant, whose seeds, which resemble human eyes, brought strength and energy to the tribe. The word "guaraná" means "source of wisdom." #amazon #amazonia #legend #mithology #folclore #indigeneous #brazil #fabules #fantastic #eyes
