Lost Cat

A girl friend from law school entrusted her cat to me over the semester break. I left the house to go to the market, when I returned the cat was not at home. I searched the whole city for a week but couldn't find it. The girl came to me crying and said that everything would be fine though and left. No matter what I did, she never spoke to me again.I always wondered what would have happened if that cat hadn't disappeared! :(
