Stingrays

Stingrays are a type of fish with their eyes on top of their bodies and their mouth on the underside of their bodies. They have special pits along their faces that allow them to sense electrical signals from nearby fish. Since they like to bury themselves in the sand and spend lots of time in murky water, this extra sense can help them manuever in low light waters. There are both freshwater and saltwater stingrays. All rays have venemous spines/barbs on their tails they use for defense.
